• Mobile Architect

    Overview

    AudioAddict, Inc. is seeking a talented Mobile Architect to join our distributed Product Development group. This is a full-time development position with a close-knit distributed team.

    We currently support native apps for iOS and Android, with other devices of all sizes and shapes still to come. We’re looking for someone with the expertise to support our current apps, and the foresight to adapt as our needs grow and change.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate, communicate, and innovate the design and implementation of technical solutions within the AudioAddict portfolio (di.fm, radiotunes.com, jazzradio.com, rockradio.com, classicalradio.com).
    • Ensure that application designs meet nonfunctional requirements (e.g. performance, concurrency, scalability)
    • Oversee the proper implementation of projects through coding and code reviews, and deploy code to the app stores.
    • Analyze product/business requirements, create and implement flexible, scalable implementation designs.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
    • 5+ years as an application developer, specifically experienced in both iOS and Android
    • Proficiency in object-oriented programming in Objective-C (iOS) and Java (Android)
    • Expertise in iOS and Android Best Practices
    • Passion for music

    Desirable Skills

    • Working knowledge of C#, Ruby/Rails, Audio decoding/processing, Xamarin, git/git hub, #/bin/bash, and Agile Development processes

  • Senior Backend Developer (Rails)

    Overview

    AudioAddict, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Rails Developer for a full-time position in the Product Development group. This is a permanent position with a thriving music company... Also, you get to work from home.

    We’re looking for a well-rounded developer with at least 5 years experience. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their own time and regularly produce quality code (read: working from home isn't for everyone). Recent code samples will be requested during the interview process.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, execute and communicate your work on one of several applications within the AudioAddict platform.
    • Be accountable and manage your own time; we don't watch the clock, we just want kick-ass work.
    • Participate actively in the entire dev process, from ideation to testing and release; we're a small group and we need people who can contribute in a variety of ways.
    • Demonstrate your work regularly to the rest of the team and the rest of the company.

    Required Qualifications

    • Ruby/Rails
    • MySQL
    • HTML/CSS
    • JavaScript
    • 5+ years development experience

    Desirable Skills

    • HTML 5/CSS 3
    • Golang
    • git/github
    • Knowing your way around a linux server (a bash prompt is your close friend)
